DELTA DENTAL OF NEW JERSEY DENTIS-TREES PROGRAM BENEFITS DENTISTS AND
NJ TREE FOUNDATION
PARSIPPANY, N.J. — May 05, 2016 — Delta Dental of New Jersey (DDNJ) announces the second installment of its successful Dentis-Trees program. For every participating dental office that enrolled in Direct Deposit with DDNJ from February 1 through April 1 this year, DDNJ made a donation to the NJ Tree Foundation to support the planting of trees in New Jersey cities. The goal of Dentis-Trees is to help the environment while reinforcing the benefits dental practices realize by going paperless.
“For dental practices, the benefits of Direct Deposit are well worth considering,” said Dr. Keith Libou, chief clinical officer, Delta Dental of New Jersey. “It’s not only a free service, but less administrative time managing incoming checks results in increased staff productivity, plus, funds are usually available immediately when deposited electronically. The fact that this is an eco-friendly option makes it a no-brainer!”
The year’s Dentis-Trees tree planting will take place Tuesday, May 10 at Burch Charter School of Excellence in Irvington, New Jersey. Students and school staff will be in attendance to help plant the tree; Mayor Tony Vauss is also expected to attend. The school has been a recipient of DDNJ’s Oral Health Education Initiative Grant, which is used to help fund the school’s oral health curriculum for third-grade classrooms.
All dental offices that signed up for Direct Deposit were enrolled in a drawing to be selected at random for a chance to be featured on a plaque placed beside the tree. The winning dental office was Dr. Corrie Crowe in Voorhees, New Jersey.
