PARSIPPANY, N.J. — June 14, 2017 — Delta Dental of New Jersey has appointed three members to its Board of Trustees: Joseph P. Mazza, D.M.D., Lisa N. Gallucci, D.M.D. and Richard G. Bozza, Ed.D., Executive Director of the New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA).

Joseph P. Mazza, D.M.D. is a general dentist who has been in private practice in Rutherford since 1971. A graduate of Seton Hall University and the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Mazza has been active in both professional and charitable organizations and has over 40 years of business experience—he currently serves on the Board of Directors of Kearny Federal Savings Bank, Kearny MHC, Kearny Financial Corp. and the Rutherford Senior Citizens Center (55 Kip Center) and is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, the Passaic County Dental Association, a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Oral Medicine. Dr. Mazza is also a Vietnam veteran who continued to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel through 1993.
Lisa N. Gallucci, D.M.D. specializes in cosmetic and restorative dentistry at her private practice, Gallucci Dental, in Marlton. Dr. Gallucci completed her education at Rutgers University, The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/ Rutgers Dental School, The Dawson Academy for The Advancement of Dentistry, The Piper Education and Research Clinic, The Spear Education Center for Advanced Dental Education and Sleep Group Solutions Dental Sleep Medicine. Her professional affiliations and participation include the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Orthodontics, Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Women Dentists, the Southern New Jersey Dental Association, Spear Study Club and the Seattle Study Club/Pinnacle Dental of South Jersey. Dr. Gallucci is also an Alternate Delegate for the New Jersey Dental Association, the Chairman of the Annual Irwin J. Freedman Memorial lecture, Co-Chairman of the Annual Donald DeFonce lecture series, and alternate trustee for the New Jersey Dental Association.
Richard G. Bozza, Ed.D. is the executive director of the New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA). A longtime New Jersey resident, he received his undergraduate and master's degrees from Monmouth University and earned a doctorate in educational administration and supervision from Rutgers University. Prior to joining the NJASA, Dr. Bozza began his career in Long Branch where he taught Spanish, served as high school student council advisor, and coached athletic teams in several sports. He worked in various supervisory and administrative positions, which included becoming superintendent of both the Montville and Berkeley Heights school districts, as well as at the Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf, and becoming Executive Director of The Academy for Teaching and Leadership based in Far Hills. Besides having held adjunct professor positions at Rutgers University, Montclair State University, Jersey City State University, and Drew University and advising education programs at Caldwell College, Camden County College, Gloucester County College, and the College of St. Elizabeth, Dr. Bozza has served as president for New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA) and New Jersey Council of Education, from which he received awards. He was a member of both Governor Chris Christie’s Education Transition Subcommittee and the State Executive Directors Advisory Committee to the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) and was an elected representative to the AASA governing board.
