Fight Dental Insurance Fraud


The Special Investigations Unit at Delta Dental of New Jersey works to detect and deter overbilling and other fraudulent activities, and to recover and eliminate overpayments made by the corporation. We are committed to our customers, members, and associates and to our mission to identify and prevent fraud at all costs.

Health care fraud is any intentional deception or misrepresentation that an individual or entity makes regarding health care, knowing that the deception could result in some unauthorized benefit, personal gain, or reimbursement.

Abuse is defined as incidents or practices of providers or others that are inconsistent with accepted business or financial practices, resulting in unnecessary costs to an insurance carrier.

Delta Dental’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) investigates suspected fraud and abuse of dental insurance. The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) should be contacted by anyone at anytime if fraud is suspected.
