In a recent survey, nearly half of Americans said their smile was their most important physical feature.
Not surprisingly, good oral health plays a big part in how great your smile looks. While visiting your dentist regularly is important, good preventive care at home is crucial.
It’s as easy as 1-2-3:
- Floss ONCE a day - No matter what you eat during the day, food can easily get stuck in between your teeth. Most of the time, brushing won't get the food out. That's why it's important to floss at least once every single day. If you do eat foods that easily get caught between teeth like corn on teh cobb or chicken wings, try to floss directly after eating.
- Brush TWICE a day - We all know the importance of brushing you teeth every day, but many only brush once. Make it a point to brush in the morning and again before bed. Extra bonus if you brush a third time in the afternoon!
- Replace your toothbrush every THREE months - like most other products, toothbrushes wear down the more you use them. It's important for your toothbrush bristles to stay clean and strong for the best possible brush every time. Remember to replace them around every 3 months!
